The impressive view of the blue Adriatic when you reach the top of the Dupci Pass gave rise to the legend that this is the site where the Croats first gazed upon the sea after arriving in this area.
Here it is as though the cliffs drop into the sea, which is sometimes over 100 m deep. These natural contrasts have created the unique Vruja Bay, located just below the pass. The bay is actually a giant spring system, with a 60 m diameter submarine well that gushes freshwater directly into the sea.
