The Podgora Trail Run is a dynamic and challenging course for runners, combining different terrains and beautiful landscapes above Podgora. With a length of 13.7 km and a total climb of 465 m, this route is perfect for runners looking to test their limits on an exciting adventure. With a tour time of 1 hour and 45 minutes, runners can explore a wide range of terrains and experience the diversity of the area.
The route starts on the waterfront in Podgora, giving runners a quick start on the paved road up to the Seagull’s Wing (Galebovo krilo) monument. This initial part of the route is a great warm up and preparation for the challenges ahead.
After the monument, the route switches to hiking trails and gravel roads towards the area called Three Grave Stones (Troje Gomile). Here runners experience undulating gravel roads taking them through the first descent back to Podgora, providing an exciting and fast section of the route.
After the descent, the route continues along the sea, combining different surfaces as it climbs towards Gornja Podgora and its highest point. This section of the route provides runners with challenging climbs and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, adding extra variety to the running experience.
After reaching the highest point, there is an exciting descent back to Podgora, ending the race route on a high note of excitement and achievement.
