Zabiokovlje, with its network of hilly roads and very low traffic intensity, is tailor-made for road cycling. The route that connects the two largest cities located in the interior of Dalmatia, east of Biokovo, passes through some of the most beautiful, wild, and well-preserved areas of this part of the destination.
The route begins with a climb to Milina Zasidu near Vrgorac, followed by a technically demanding section with narrow roads, almost all the way to Imotski, but with very little traffic. Upon reaching Imotski, the route passes by the Blue Lake and through the Imotsko polje before ascending to Poljica and descending towards Zagvozd. The undulating road further leads to the ascent to the tunnel at the Turija pass, and the descent from that point offers a magnificent view of the slopes of Biokovo and the peaks of the Vrgorac mountains, St. Michael, and Šibenik.
