In every larger town in Central Dalmatia, there is an Emergency Medical Service facility, as well as pharmacies that typically operate from 8 am to 7 pm. In larger towns, there are pharmacies on duty that are open 24 hours. Foreign guests do not pay for medical services if there is a signed convention on health care between Croatia and the guest's home country.

All foreign nationals staying in Croatia have the right to EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE.

Central Dalmatia, like the whole of Croatia, is classified as a LOW-RISK AREA for serious infectious diseases. Therefore, visitors coming to Croatia who are regularly vaccinated in their countries do not need additional vaccinations before arrival.

Sick card, on the basis of a certificate of insurance from a foreign insurance carrier, is issued by: branches of the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance (HZZO) or
tourist clinics;

During their stay in Croatia, tourists can use services in health institutions and hospitals, with a minimum charge paid by Croatian residents:

Insured persons from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland and Great Britain should present a passport, along with a passport or identity card, tourists from the following countries also need forms:
